Shoei NXR 2 Capriccio TC-11 helmet: the new premium sports helmet
The Shoei NXR 2 sport full-face helmet has been further improved with the latest technological advances. The Capriccio TC-11 model offers excellent aerodynamics, a wide range of visibility, effective ventilation, an excellent fit, and a compact and lightweight shape. This new model is an ideal choice for sports motorcycle enthusiasts looking for a high-quality helmet that provides comfort and safety. In addition, the new Shoei NXR 2 is extremely lightweight and meets the new ECE22/06 safety certificate.
The outer shell of the helmet is made of AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix), a combination of fiberglass and organic fiber that offers optimal rigidity and absorbs shock effectively. This outer shell is designed to be very compact, as was its predecessor.
The inner shell is composed of two parts of EPS of different densities that perfectly fit the shape of the head, offering a high degree of shock absorption. In the event of an accident, the energy of the impact is gradually absorbed and balanced with the rigidity of the outer shell.
The double-ring closure is easy to use and ensures a perfect fit. In addition, the helmet is equipped with the Emergency Quick Release System (EQRS), which makes it easy to remove the helmet from the outside in case of an accident by removing the side padding.
The CWR-F2 visor offers a wider field of vision thanks to its new shape, along with a sportier design. The optical characteristics of the new CWR-F2 have been optimized through its curvature and thickness, further reducing possible distortion and providing a clearer, more natural view. The visor has high stiffness and stability at the upper and lower ends due to the new locking mechanism, which reduces the risk of accidental opening during high-speed riding. The new visor lock lever is located in the center of the visor, and the feeling of opening and closing the visor is smooth and manageable. The visor lock mechanism located in the center of the lower air intake supports the lower end of the center of the visor, lowering it locks and pressing the release button releases it.
Deflectors have been added to the sides of the helmet, similar to those on the CWR-F visor, to improve aerodynamics and reduce wind noise.
The visor adjustment has been changed from a thumbwheel mechanism to a small lever that facilitates adjustment against the rubber of the contour of the viewing area. With the new adjustment lever, the visor base slides back 1 mm when lowered, improving adhesion with the visor and the rubber of the contour of the viewing area.
The standard Pinlock Evo DKS304 ensures a clear view at all times in all weather conditions. The anti-fog foil has been redesigned and its size increased to cover most of the field of vision. In addition, the position of the blade mounting pins has been moved away from the eye area to improve the lateral field of vision.
The helmet is available in four outer shell sizes for a better fit for each size.
The inner padding with the new NXR 2 is very comfortable, made of soft fabrics with great moisture absorption and quick drying. The inner padding is fully removable, washable and replaceable. The inner cheek pads have been redesigned to reduce the feeling of pressure and provide more mobility around the neck so you can look back if needed. The padding in the ear area is designed to reduce noise and can be removed to mount a motorcycle intercom.
The ventilation system has been redesigned, consisting of a lower air intake, a front air intake with two holes, and two additional air intakes on both sides to provide stability and adequate airflow. The rear air intake under the integrated spoiler consists of four holes and has been enlarged for greater expulsion of warm air from inside the helmet.
The aerodynamic shape of the helmet and the airtight protection system of the viewing area minimize the appearance of wind noise. Pressure charges caused by wind have been reduced by 6% upward and 4% backward in comparison with its predecessor based on tests in our tunnel.
