Shoei NXR 2 Capriccio TC-1 Helmet. Shoei evolves its hesitant full-face sport helmet and equips the NXR 2 with the latest technological advances. It offers high aerodynamic performance, good visibility, efficient ventilation, comfortable fit, compact size and light weight. The new Shoei NXR 2 was born as the new premium sports helmet that combines all these features. It is the lightest Shoei helmet with the new ECE22 / 06 standard certificate and is characterized by being extremely comfortable.

The outer shell (outer structure) is made of AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix): composed of multiple layers of organic fiber and fiberglass that absorbs impacts with optimal stiffness. As in the previous model, a very compact shell was obtained.

The inner shell (internal structure) is composed of two parts of EPS of different densities, which provides a high degree of impact absorption. When an impact occurs, it is gradually and effectively absorbed in balance with the stiffness of the shell.

Double ring closure. Easy to use and always a perfect fit.

Incorporates the Emergency Quick Release System (EQRS), which aids helmet removal from the outside in the event of an accident by removing the side padding.

CWR-F2 visor that offers a wider field of vision due to its new shape along with a sportier design. The optical characteristics of the new CWR-F2 have been optimized due to its curvature and thickness, further reducing possible distortion and providing a clearer and more natural view.

The visor has high stiffness and stability at the upper and lower ends due to the new visor lock mechanism, which reduces the risk of accidental opening during high-speed riding. The new visor lock lever is located in the center of the visor, and the feeling of opening and closing the visor is smoother and more manageable. The visor lock mechanism located in the center of the lower air intake supports the lower end of the center of the visor, lowering it locks and pressing the release button releases it.

Small baffles on the sides similar to those on the CWR-F visor have also been incorporated, which help improve aerodynamic performance as well as reduce wind noise.

The type of visor configuration adjustment has been changed from a wheel-type mechanism to a small lever that aids adjustment against the rubber of the contour of the viewing area. Compared with the adjustment wheel of the previous model, when the new adjustment lever is lowered, the base of the visor slides back 1 mm, achieving better adjustment of the adhesion with the visor and the rubber of the contour of the viewing area.

The standard Pinlock Evo DKS304 ensures a consistently clear view in all weather conditions. The anti-fog foil has been redesigned and its size increased. By moving the blade mounting pins away from the eye area to improve the lateral field of view, most of the entire field of view is covered by the Pinlock EVO foil.

Comfort

The inner padding with the new NXR 2 is characterized by being very comfortable. It has a fully removable, washable and replaceable inner padding made of very soft fabrics with great moisture absorption and quick drying.

The inner cheek pads have been redesigned while maintaining the characteristic NXR side cut line. These new side pads are designed to reduce the feeling of pressure when putting on and taking off the helmet, providing greater mobility around the neck so you can look back if needed. In addition, the lower end of the padding has been oversized to prevent noise filtering through this point, as well as providing a soft and comfortable fit around the neck.

In addition, soft fabrics were used for the areas of greatest skin contact while putting on or taking off the helmet, along with moisture-wicking and quick-drying fabrics in the contact areas with the greatest tendency to sweat.

The central padding, just like the NXR, is designed using 3D Max-Dry Interior System II technology to conform to the contour of the rider's head.

Ventilation

Redesigned ventilation system consisting of a lower air intake, a front air intake with two holes, and two additional air intakes on both sides to provide stability and adequate airflow, especially in a sport riding position. The rear air intake under the integrated spoiler consists of four holes and has been enlarged for greater expulsion of hot air from inside the helmet.

Its aerodynamics have been improved and studied in the wind tunnel to make it quieter. The aerodynamic shape of the helmet and the airtight protection system in the vision area minimize the appearance of wind noise. The new NXR 2 has a very different rubber contour of the vision area than the previous model with which it was possible to improve the fit with the visor, which has a direct effect on the entry of water, wind and possible noise caused by this . A good fit of the inner pads on the ears that reduce wind noise.

Pressure charges caused by wind have been reduced by 6% upward and 4% backward in comparison with its predecessor based on tests in our wind tunnel.
