Alpinestars' lightest self-contained airbag system, Tech-Air® 3, is designed to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket. It is the effective and practical choice for touring cyclists, urban commuters and off-road adventure riders. Equipped with a waterproof main frame and waterproof electronic control unit, the sleek, self-contained system can also be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including an Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready jacket or any leather or textile jacket, as long as the jacket provides enough space to allow the airbag to inflate. Tech-Air® 3 allows riders to enjoy their daily commute even more knowing they are protected.

Tech-Air® 3 is a fully self-contained active airbag system and requires no external connections or sensors on the bike to operate the system.

Tech-Air® 3 has 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope)) to provide the best impact monitoring in a variety of dynamic riding situations and even from a standstill.

The Tech-Air® 3 has a diagonal zipper that completely covers the chest while concealing the inner airbag. The magnetic zipper is easy to use and provides a secure closure system for the airbag garment.

An LED indicator on the front chest shows the operational status of the airbag. The LED indicator also includes a tactile warning signal that uses vibration to confirm that the system is activated and alerts the rider when the battery is running low

Tech-Air 3 includes Alpinestars' second-generation compact electronic control unit (ECU), located in the ECU pocket on the upper back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner vest

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows riders to monitor system operating status and battery status and provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides via MyRide

Upgradable system software can be accessed through the Tech-Air® app

The integrated protective pocket on the back can accommodate additional passive back protection.

Tech-Air® 3 utilizes an impact detection algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to accurately monitor when the airbag is deployed in the event of an impact, allowing the airbag to provide active protection while riding on the road and in a variety of riding conditions, even when stationary
