SHOEI has adopted for the VFX-WR a new inner shell mechanism for the absorption of shock waves M.E.D.S. (Motion Energy Distribution System), which is a technically more advanced system, compared to conventional multi-density shell systems. While the outer layers of EPS dissipate the impact, absorbing its energy, an additional central layer of dynamic EPS reduces rotational energy in the event of a left. Anchored via a wider central column, the portion of EPS oscillates during impact, allowing the three perimeter columns to absorb energy. The result is a significant reduction in the rotational force discharged onto the rider's head.
Safety:
AIM+ shell that combines high-performance fibers with organic fibers to create a lightweight, rigid and durable shell structure
E.Q.R.S. (Rapid Emergency Release System) which involves special straps under the cheek pads that allow them to be easily withdrawn, so that the helmet can be quickly removed by emergency personnel after an accident
M.E.D.S (Motion Energy Distribution System) which has a flexible insert in the shell that helps absorb sudden shocks on the head in the event of a collision
Additional 3-part polystyrene shell system offering various levels of absorption
Double D chin strap that offers the highest level of security, easy to use and always perfectly adjusted
Modularity:
Aerodynamic and aggressively shaped V-470 visor is easily installed or removed with three external screws
Central screw that allows you to adjust the visor for optimal visibility
Straight line formed from the top of the visor to the helmet shell to ensure upward visibility
Generality:
4 different shell sizes to adapt to all morphologies
Detachable 3D Max-Dry lining that absorbs twice its weight in moisture
Fender specially formed so as not to interfere with the glasses
Profile worked for a radically sporty design with integrated deflectors for optimized aerodynamics
Ventilation:
Multiple air inlets and outlets for optimal ventilation even in the hottest running conditions
Many front and top air intakes for better fresh air intake
Multiple air extractors at the level of the rear deflector and the nape of the neck for the evacuation of hot air
