Inspired by the research and development work conducted with MotoGP riders, IXON redefines the concept of balance between protection and comfort. The IX-AIRBAG U04 allows you to push your limits in any context, thanks to its three fall detection modes. Suitable for use on the road, in competition and in off-road adventures, this device represents the cutting edge in safety for motorcyclists.

The IX-AIRBAG U04 is equipped with AIRFLOW CHANNEL technology, an advanced ventilation system that ensures optimal cooling of the body. Airflow is managed through 3D Mesh channels throughout the back and chest area, ensuring continuous ventilation. External materials, such as Hard Mesh on the front and back and ultra-stretch Mesh on the sides, further contribute to keeping the device 100% ventilated. This technology has been developed in direct collaboration with MotoGP riders Aleix Espargaro, Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira and Takaaki Nakagami, guaranteeing a high level of performance.

The IX-AIRBAG U04 stands out for its extremely fast activation time of only 0.055 seconds, making it one of the fastest protection devices on the market.

Thanks to the choice of ultra-light materials, both inside and out, the IX-AIRBAG U04 is the lightest electronic airbag available. The design has been optimised not to hinder movement, providing a smooth and comfortable riding experience. The body-hugging cut eliminates the feeling of bulk, making you forget about the airbag's presence while riding.

The IX-AIRBAG U04 incorporates three fall detection modes, developed thanks to In&motion's specific algorithms. Switching between the modes (road, race and adventure) is simple and is done via the My In&box mobile application. This unique system has been approved by various national federations in Europe and by the FIM, making the IX-AIRBAG U04 usable in national and international competitions, excluding MotoGP and JuniorG.

In the event of a fall, the airbag deploys in just 0.055 seconds, with a detection time of 0.033 seconds and an inflation time of 0.022 seconds. The inertial unit, consisting of 6 sensors (3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes), analyses more than 1,000 movements per second, ensuring optimal protection. The inflatable pillow covers four vital zones: neck, back, chest and abdomen, offering complete protection.

The new generation inflatable cushion made of OPW material can be inflated up to 5 times before requiring a factory check, outperforming the previous model IX-AIRBAG U03 by 2 times. The deflation system is optimised to handle multiple falls and post-fall situations. The In&Box electronic unit has an autonomy of 30 hours and is fully recharged in 2 hours.

The IX-AIRBAG U04 is CE certified according to EN 17092-6:2020 C U and the airbag is tested according to protocol AMC-013. The foam back protector is 15% lighter than the previous model and is CE-certified according to EN 1621-2:2014, type FB and level 1. The IX-AIRBAG U04 has a 5-star rating in the SRA motorbike airbag ranking.

To use the IX-AIRBAG U04, an In&motion subscription is required, with options to rent or purchase the In&box electronic unit. The In&Box Revolution offer provides a flexible subscription at €120 per year or €12 per month, while the In&Box Classic offer allows the purchase of the unit for €400. The electronic In&box unit is upgradeable with regular updates. In addition, the In&motion referral system offers up to 3 years of free subscription. Depending on the country, In&box subscribers can benefit from the 'Emergency Call' functionality within the My In&box mobile application, thanks to the partnership with Liberty Rider, available to subscribers in France, Belgium and Italy.
