Absolute Vision optics
Absolute Vision is the optical treatment Alpinestars uses to aim for a clearer view: more contrast, less glare and less distortion, useful when the light changes from one corner to the next.
Material and finish
The shield is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, the most common material for motorcycle visors thanks to its good balance of strength and weight. The Mirror Spectral mirror finish is built into the outer construction and gives the visor its look, while also cutting the amount of light that reaches your eyes when the sun is high.
Compatibility
The visor is intended for helmets of the Alpinestars Supertech R10 and S-R7 Gen 2.1-R series. Always check that your helmet model matches before you buy, and if you are in doubt, write to us: we are happy to help.
Use and approval
According to Alpinestars the shield is meant for road and track riding and is not ECE R22/06 homologated, which makes the circuit its natural home. Pinlock is not in the box.
Who it is for
It is the right choice for riders who use an Alpinestars S-R10 or S-R7 and want a second mirrored visor for sunny days, track days or racing, or simply a new look for their helmet.
Care and maintenance
To keep the mirror finish in good condition, clean the visor only with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth, with no solvents or abrasive products, and let it air dry. Store it in its pouch or a soft bag, away from surfaces that could scratch it, and check it from time to time for deep scratches or cracks: a damaged visor should be replaced.
Why choose a mirrored visor
A mirrored visor reduces the light reaching your eyes on sunny days and gives the helmet a personal look. Keeping one next to a clear visor lets you adapt the helmet to the conditions of the day, swapping from one to the other in a few minutes.
