SHOEI NXR-2 GLEAM TC5 HELMET

Shoei's new premium sports helmet, the NXR 2, is an evolution of its predecessor, equipped with the latest technologies in safety, aerodynamics, visibility, ventilation and comfort.

Safety

The outer shell is made of AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix), a composite of organic fiber and fiberglass, with optimal stiffness to best absorb impacts. The outer shell was obtained very compact compared to the previous model.

The inner shell is composed of two parts of EPS of different densities for high impact absorption capacity. Impact absorption occurs progressively in balance with the stiffness of the shell.

Double ring closure for a perfect fit.

Incorporates the Emergency Quick Release System (EQRS), which aids helmet removal from the outside in case of an accident by removing the side padding.

CWR-F2 visor that offers a wider field of vision due to its new shape along with a sportier design. The visor is very rigid and stable, thanks to the new visor locking mechanism, which reduces the risk of accidental opening during high-speed riding.

Pinlock Evo DKS304 standard ensures a clear view at all times in all weather conditions.

Comfort

4 outer shell sizes for a better fit at every size.

Inner padding is fully removable, washable and replaceable, made of very soft fabrics with great moisture absorption and quick drying.

The inner cheek pads have been redesigned to provide greater mobility around the neck and reduce the feeling of pressure when putting on and taking off the helmet.

Soft fabrics have been used for areas of increased skin contact, along with high moisture-wicking and quick-drying fabrics in contact areas with greater tendency to sweat.

Central padding was designed using 3D Max-Dry Interior System II technology.

Padding in the ear area to reduce noise.

Ventilation

Redesigned ventilation system consisting of a lower air intake, a front air intake with two holes, and two additional air intakes on both sides to provide stability and adequate airflow, especially in a sport riding position. The rear air intake under the integrated spoiler consists of four holes and has been enlarged for greater expulsion of hot air from inside the helmet.

Aerodynamics / Soundproofing

The aerodynamic shape of the helmet and the airtight protection system in the vision area minimize the appearance of wind noise.

The new NXR 2 has a very different rubber contour of the vision area than the previous model with which it was possible to improve the seal with the visor, which has a direct effect on the entry of water, wind and possible noise caused by it.

Pressure charges caused by wind have been reduced by 6% upward and 4% backward in comparison with its predecessor based on tests in our wind tunnel.
